Terms & Conditions

By purchasing a ticket to ride with Go Buses, you are agreeing to abide by the following terms and conditions:

General

Upon request, a valid photo ID may be required to board the bus. In order to board the bus, you must provide either (1) a paper copy of your e-mailed confirmation, (2) a copy of your confirmation e-mail on a smartphone or other electronic device, or (3) your confirmation number and a valid photo identification.

Animals are not allowed on our coaches except for trained service animals accompanying special needs travelers. Documentation of the animal’s status as a service animal must be immediately available.

Go Buses is not liable for delays caused by accidents, breakdowns, road conditions, weather and other conditions beyond its control. All arrival times are approximate and will change due to traffic conditions. In the event of an emergency, Go Buses reserves the right to transfer passengers from one vehicle to another.

Go Buses reserves the right to refuse to provide transportation to a person under the influence of liquor or drugs, or whose behavior in any way threatens other passengers or the driver.

Go Buses may deny boarding to a passenger if a reasonable request to search the passenger’s property is denied, or if the driver or dispatcher, in their judgment, deems the passenger to present a risk to the security or health of the driver or other passengers.

Smoking is not permitted on any Go Buses motorcoach.

Unaccompanied minor passengers must be 16 years of age or older.

At any time during the duration of your trip, your driver is permitted to make a rest stop at their discretion. When a stop is made the driver will inform all passengers the length of stay. Passengers who choose to exit the bus during the break must return to the bus within the time allotted. Go Buses is not liable for any passengers who are left behind.

Go Buses offers free WI-FI and outlets for your use. However, if for whatever reason any of the amenities are not available on your trip, we will not issue a credit or refund.

Reservations

Tickets may be purchased online at www.GoBuses.com.

Upon completion of your online purchase you will receive a reservation/order number that will guarantee you a seat on the date and time you have chosen. The reservation/order number is required to gain entry onto the bus. If you do not receive a reservation/order number, please contact our office to confirm your reservation. NOTE: A transaction ID number, which is proof of payment, is NOT a reservation/order number. You must have a reservation/order number in order to guarantee a seat.

All reservations are honored for the date and time chosen only. Reservations cannot be changed, cancelled, amended, or refunded after the scheduled departure time. You may manage your booking by logging into your account. GO Tickets may only be refunded for rewards points, equal to the purchase price of the ticket less any applicable fees. The window to edit GO Ticket reservations will depend upon your rewards level. GO Flex ticket reservations can be managed up to your scheduled departure time. Reservations placed through 3rd party websites are final and cannot be refunded, cancelled, or rescheduled. Rewards levels require a minimum spend over a rolling 12-month period.

If you do not check-in at least 5 minutes before departure, Go Buses will assume that you are a no-show and may assign your seat to a standby passenger.

Go Buses may reissue reservations for service failures or weather conditions as deemed appropriate by Go Buses.

Fares

Fares are charged on a per-seat basis and are disclosed at the time a reservation is made. Go Buses reserves the right to change its fares at any time. The fare for any particular seat is locked only when the reservation has been paid for. Subsequent price changes, including discounts or specials, will not be adjusted after the sale. Fares may be higher during certain holiday periods.

Fares are shown in dollars and cents, and are payable in United States currency. Go Buses accepts payments via credit and debit card over the phone or via the Internet, and via credit card or debit card for in-person transactions with our dispatchers for passengers seeking to travel as stand-by passengers. Cash will not be accepted effective February 15th, 2019.

Fares may be subject to taxes and processing fees, which will be added on to the price of the ticket, if applicable. Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise noted.

Refunds and exchanges may be subject to taxes and processing fees, which will be added on to the price of the ticket, if applicable. GO Tickets may only be refunded for rewards points, equal to the purchase price of the ticket less any applicable fees. Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise noted.

The preceding terms and conditions may be modified by Go Buses in its sole discretion at any time and without notice. For the latest terms and conditions and answers to frequently asked questions, please visit www.GoBuses.com.

Walk-up fare customers are not guaranteed a seat on the bus and are required to pay the walk-up fare price via credit card or debit card. Walk-up passengers boarding at the Cambridge, MA, Manassas, VA, Alexandria, VA, or L’Enfant Plaza, DC stops will have to wait until the next stop to see if there is a seat available. Customers can call 855-888-7160 to see the likelihood of traveling.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your browser or device by websites, apps, online media, and advertisements that are used to remember your browser or device during and across website visits. We also utilize other technologies that may identify you or the devices you use. For example, “pixel tags” (also called beacons) are small blocks of code installed on (or called by) a webpage, app, or advertisement which can retrieve certain information about your device and browser, including for example: device type, operating system, browser type and version, website visited, time of visit, referring website, IP address, advertising identifiers, and other similar information, including the small text file (the cookie) that uniquely identifies the device. Pixels provide the means by which third parties can set and read browser cookies from a domain that they do not themselves operate and collect information about visitors to that domain, typically with the permission of the domain owner. “Local storage” refers generally to other places on a browser or device where information can be stored by websites, ads, or third parties (such as HTML5 local storage and browser cache). “Software Development Kits” (also called SDKs) function like pixels and cookies but operate in the mobile app context where pixels and cookies cannot always function. The primary app developer can install pieces of code (the SDK) from partners in the app, and thereby allow the partner to collect certain information about user interaction with the app and information about the user device and network information. Go Buses uses cookies and similar technologies for purposes such as:

  • Authenticating users
  • Remembering user preferences and settings
  • Determining the popularity of content
  • Delivering and measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns
  • Analyzing site traffic and trends, and generally understanding the online behaviors and interests of people who interact with our services. We may also allow others to provide audience measurement and analytics services for us, to serve advertisements on our behalf across the Internet, and to track and report on the performance of those advertisements. These entities may use cookies, web beacons, SDKs, and other technologies to identify your device when you visit our site and use our services, as well as when you visit other online sites and services.
